We’ve all experienced grease splatters and spills on our stovetops. It’s one of the most common places that grease can build up.
From frying bacon to searing a steak, grease can splatter off the skillet and create a horrifying mess.
Thankfully, there’s a few ways to clean up the grease on your stove top.
Let the stove cool
The most important thing is to let the stove cool. The last thing we want is to call 911 for a burn. Cleaning a hot stove is very dangerous.
Wipe away loose debris
We like to wipe away any loose debris and crumbs before we start using any moisture to clean. Use a paper towel or any dry cloth to remove all the crumbs and debris. It makes it so much easier to clean the grease when everything else is out of the way.
Warm soapy water
There are plenty of chemicals and cleaners out there to use for stove tops and grease, but our favorite is plain ole dawn dish soap and warm water. Soap cuts through the grease and grime like no other. Use a sponge or soft cloth and wipe down the whole surface.
To prevent heavy grease buildup, clean your stove top after each use.
